This past week, Calgary Black Chambers published a letter of support to acknowledge the establishment, and welcome the Canadian Immigration Lawyers Association (CILA).
Calgary Black Chambers (CBC) is a not-for-profit organization looking to increase Black leadership capacity, and uplift BIPOC culture throughout Calgary by community volunteering and providing scholarships for our future generations. Their mission is to forge opportunities for Black professionals to further their professional development and give back to their community.
With over 300 students mentored since their founding in 2019, CBC is committed to Black excellence through mentorship, scholarship, and fellowship. To learn more about CBC, visit https://calgaryblackchambers.ca.
On behalf of CILA, thank you for supporting our actions to advocate for citizenship, refugee and immigration issues and professionals working in this domain in Canada. We appreciate the leadership and strides forged by Calgary Black Chambers in uplifting Black voices in Canada, and look forward to additional opportunities for collaboration in the near future.
