About Catalyst Canada:

Catalyst Canada is an initiative by the Business Immigration Committee of CILA (Canadian Immigration Lawyers Association). We engage with various stakeholders to discuss Canada’s business immigration policies, with the goal of developing a policy proposal for a federal business immigration program in Canada.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to join our team as Catalyst Canada Ambassadors. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause while developing your skills in public engagement and networking with immigration lawyers and policymakers.

Key Responsibilities (Duties):

• Engage with the public to discuss and explain Canada’s immigration policies in an approachable and informative manner.
• Conduct interviews with community members, immigrants, and stakeholders to gather diverse perspectives on immigration.
• Create high-quality, engaging videos of interviews and public interactions (training and onboarding will be provided).
• Break the ice with strangers and foster open, respectful, and meaningful conversations.
• Collaborate with the Catalyst Canada team to develop creative content and strategies for public engagement.

Qualifications:

• Post secondary education (Students are welcome, especially aspiring law students)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about participatory democracy, public engagement, and advocacy.
• Self-motivated, creative, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation is a plus.
