IRCC announces updates to its application processing times tool

On May 2nd, IRCC announced on its website it is improving estimates for application processing times.

IRCC is now providing forward-looking processing times for the following applications:

  • Canadian Experience Class (Express Entry)
  • Provincial Nominees Program (Express Entry and non-Express Entry)
  • Federal Skilled Workers (Express Entry)
  • Quebec Skilled Workers
  • citizenship grants
  • citizenship certificate (proof of citizenship)
  • spouse or common-law partner living inside Canada
  • spouse, common-law or conjugal partner living outside Canada
  • parents or grandparents

Forward-looking processing times estimate how long someone applying today can expect to wait for IRCC to make a final decision on their application. IRCC will update the estimates monthly to provide applicants with realistic information to help them plan their lives.
