CILA has been granted intervenor status in Caruso v. Law Society of Ontario.
Mr. Antonio Caruso has appealed from the order of the Divisional Court (Caruso v. The Law Society of Ontario, 2023 ONSC 6744) dismissing his application challenging the Law Society of Ontario’s restrictions on the permitted scope of practice for paralegals in immigration matters. Mr. Caruso is advancing multiple grounds of appeal in his challenge.
